At the Troy Senior Computer Learning Center, qualified instructors teach students 50 and older from Troy and the surrounding area to use a computer in a friendly environment. The lab features eight computers with high speed Internet access, five scanners and two printers. Classes for persons 50 and older are taught and coached by trained and experienced senior volunteers. Learn to use a computer, access the Internet, and connect to family and friends through e-mail in a low-pressure environment. Class offerings include Computer Fundamentals, Intermediate Computer Skills, Introduction to the Internet, Introduction to Word Processing, E-Mail, Photoshop Elements, and Computer Security. A 25% discount is available to low-income Troy seniors. The computer lab is also open for drop-in use on Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 am–noon and on Friday from 9:30 am–4 pm. Drop in to type and print a letter, use the Internet, play games, or practice what you are learning in class. Volunteers will assist you if you have any questions.
