Join us for the Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, June 13 at 6 pm

Mayor Ethan Baker & the Troy City Council invite you the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June 13, starting at 6 pm. The Pavilion/Rink is located at 241 Town Center, on the southeast corner of Town Center Dr and Civic Center Dr.  Experience the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony of Troy’s first year-round skate rink and pavilion. This family friendly event is open to the public. Enjoy live music, free ice cream, and food available for purchase. If you're planning to try out the Rink, bring your own skates! Helmets recommended. This event will take place rain or shine!

Location & Hours
LOCATION
The Rink is located inside Jeanne M Stine Community Park (241 Town Center), at the corner of Town Center and Civic Center Dr inside the City of Troy Civic Center Campus. 

HOURS
The Rink is open daily 8 am–10 pm. Restrooms available 8 am–8 pm.

Rules/Code of Conduct
  1. Respect Others and the Rink:
    • Treat fellow skaters and rink staff with respect and courtesy.
    • Avoid any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
    • Follow all posted rules and guidelines. Follow instructions given by rink staff.
    • Abide by the posted opening and closing hours and park ordinances.
  2. Safety First:
    • All persons using the rink do so at their own risk. Wear appropriate safety gear. Helmets are highly recommended for all skaters.
  3. Skate in Control:
    • Avoid reckless behavior, such as weaving in and out of skaters or skating against the flow. No rough housing, tag, chasing, etc. No jumps, spins, or speed skating allowed.
    • No phones or other electronic devices should be in use while skating.
    • No sticks, pucks, balls, etc. allowed.
    • Children may not be carried while skating.
  4. Queue and Flow:
    • Form orderly lines when entering the rink. Skate with the flow. Do not go against it or remain stationary.
  5. No Food or Drink:
    • No food or drink allowed while skating. Use designated areas for eating and drinking.
  6. Report Accidents or Hazards:
    • If you witness an accident or notice any hazards, report them to rink staff immediately.
  7. Skate Responsibility:
    • Help keep the rink clean by disposing of trash in designated containers. No littering.
    • No smoking (cigarettes, hookah, vaping, etc.), consuming alcohol, or drugs. Persons who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances will be asked to leave.
  8. Consequences for Violations:
    • Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in warnings, temporary suspension from the rink, or permanent expulsion, as determined by rink management. Those not adhering to posted and stated rules may be asked to leave without refund.

By adhering to the rules set in this code of conduct, all skaters can contribute to a safe and enjoyable experience for themselves and others.
Fees

No fees apply for use of the roller rink or pavilion. The Rink is free to use from dawn till dusk in the off season months. 

Ice rink fees will be available fall 2024.

Amenities/Parking

Jeanne M Stine Community Park features The Rink, skate park, park shelter, pavilion building with restrooms, various seating options, and fire pits.

Parking is available in the Stine Park lot, Troy Community Center lot, Troy Family Aquatic Center lot, and the SMART Park & Ride lot.

Please note that the area in red is closed for construction of the new amphitheater! The amphitheater is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

FAQ

Can I rent roller skates?

No, you must bring your own roller skates. Helmets are recommended. 

Can I purchase food?

No, we are not running concessions at the pavilion this summer.

Harvey’s Hut concession, located at Troy Family Aquatic Center, has food and beverages available for purchase. Open daily 11:30 am–5 pm. Purchase from the cashier window outside the park gates.

Can I rent the pavilion or rink?
There are no current plans to take group reservations or rent out the pavilion and/or rink. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
